he Old Testament
is known throughout the world as a concrete form and basis for biblical studies
in the true sense of holiness. It comprises holistic writings that convey the
sacred teachings of the Spirit of God through the holy prophets who lived in
different generations and times. However, only a few – from the vast majority
of people in the world – are aware of the true essence of these writings.
As a result,
many continue to be in the dark with regards to the real essence of the words
of God that have been highly stressed and given importance at various holy
books which contain these things. This is one of the primary reasons why more
and more people have lost their way here on earth.
Said to be the
righteous path of life of mankind, the holy writings are presented in a
step-by-step and moderate manner of procedures that would help all men towards
the saving of their souls and the forgiveness of sins. The righteous path, if
expounded, pertains to the form and image of the work that is being acquiesced
by the truth that is being introduced in its true and holy state.
In answer to the
needs of the soul, a gradual dissemination of the truths of holiness is needed
to give light to the many areas that highly concerns this topic. One of these
issues is the Messiah or Christ, which has been one of the primary characters in the Old Testament.
MASHIYACH (Messiah, Christ)
The title מָשִׁיחַ (mashiyach) is a Hebrew word, that means “anointed (pinahiran).” This was mentioned 39 times in 38
verses in the Masoteric Text, as it
was written by the Hebrew concordance.
“Mashiyach” is the correct and right transliteration
of this compared to the other term (Messias/Christ)
used in the King James Version (KJV)
Bible pertaining to the first-born son of Mary. Khristos (Griego), Christus (Latino), Christ, or Messiah (Ingles) are the actual terms in their respective languages. H4899 is its numerical equivalent (מָשִׁיחַ)
in the Strong’s concordance.
מָשַׁח (mashach) is the root word of מָשִׁיחַ (mashiyach)
which is the same in meaning with the anointed (pinahiran). This was
used 69 times in 66 verses of the Masoteric Text, where the Hebrew concordance was based from. H4886 is the numerical equivalent (מָשַׁח)
in the Strong’s concordance.
The Septuagint of the Greeks, in
their version of the Old Testament (OT), mentions the title Khristos (Χριστός) for
39 times and this wholly
relates to the Hebrew word
מָשִׁיחַ (mashiyach), which means “anointed” (pinahiran). In relation to this, most of the words that pertains to “Khristos” that has been
written at the Old Testament in the Greek Bible (Septuagint) can be said to bare the proverbial truth that
“there were many Christs.”
Meanwhile, the
title “Christus” can be read 6 times in the Old Testament (OT) of the Latin Vulgate; at the 109 verses of the New Testament (NT), on
the other hand, this has been mentioned for
111 times. In this Italian version (OT/NT
Latin Vulgate) of the Greek’s Septuagint, the title Christus has been mentioned many times –
amounting to a count of 117 times.
All the verses
in the Masoteric Text of the Hebrews, the Septuagint
(LXX) of the Greeks and the Latin Vulgate (OT) of Italy (Roman Empire) aimed to describe
the true form of the chosen people and the things that point towards its true
holiness. None of the
three texts (the Masoteric Texts,
Septuagint and Latin Vulgate) doesn’t
pertain in any way to the true image of Christ as God.
While it was
mentioned that the words מָשִׁיחַ (mashiyach) and מָשַׁח (mashach) refer
to a certain title of one PERSON that God
has completely acknowledged in the true state of holiness, and also pertains to
all things that were anointed and made holy, it doesn’t necessarily follow that
these words depict the true form and image of God.
The original
word garnered from the Masoteric Text
is מָשִׁיחַ (mashiyach), and its root word is מָשַׁח (mashach).
The true and perfect embodiment of its meaning is “anointed (pinahiran),” which, in the years
that followed, have been passed on from generation to generation in different
terminologies - Christus, Khristos,
Cristo, Messiah, Christ etc.
While the original term has changed through the
years, its original form and image of the said word should retain its essence
just as this following paragraph lays bare. If the original meaning of the
words is changed, the usage of the words wouldn’t carry an iota of truth
anymore. Hence, because of this, whoever would cheat and spread falsehood would
be a true deceiver of truth.
Lord (Panginoon)
The Hebrew word יְהֹוָה
(YHVH) refers to the “everlasting essence of the name of the one
and only God” which has been a written in the holy books of Israel. Otherwise
known as Tetragramaton, its transliteration
is “Yehovah,
Y’hovah,
or Yohvah.
”
The יְהֹוָה (YHVH) has been repeated 6519 times in 5521 verses in the Hebrew
concordance of the King James Version
(KJV) bible. IEUS is the transliteration in the Greek language. YHVH in British and American English. H3068 is the equivalent numerical form
of יְהֹוָה in the Strong’s concordance.
In response of the bible scholars of the third Commandment that
says:
“Thou shalt not take the
name of the LORD thy God in vain;
for the LORD will not hold him
guiltless that taketh his name in vain (Exd 20:7).”
“Huwag mong babanggitin
ang pangalan ng Panginoon (Yohvah) mong Dios sa walang kabuluhan; sapagka’t
hindi aariin ng Panginoong (Yohvah) walang sala ang bumanggit ng kaniyang
pangalan sa walang kabuluhan.(Exd 20:7)”
The aforementioned name has been changed to “LORD,” bearing capital letters. “KURIOS”
is the word used by the Greeks to match this word; “Panginoon,” in Filipino,
with a capitalized “P”.
Thus, what has then come out of the name יְהֹוָה (YHVH) in the English language in the Masoteric Texts in KJV is none other than the word, “LORD.” This can be read in the Hebrew concordance in the verses
mentioned above.
But if the name of the one and only God would be written in its
complete form as mentioned in the above verses would then be as what can be
read below...
“Thou shalt not take the name of YOHVAH thy God in vain; for YOHVAH will not hold him guiltless that
taketh his name in vain (Exd 20:7).”
“Huwag mong babanggitin
ang pangalan ng Dios mong si YOHVAH sa walang kabuluhan; sapagka’t hindi aariin
ni YOHVAH na walang sala ang bumanggit ng kaniyang pangalan sa walang

Here, then, is where we have been given a good opportunity to use
the name of the one and only God. It
is then enough to give anyone a better knowledge and understanding of the truth
that has been highly emphasized in these verses.
lord, master (panginoon)
In the Hebrew
language, the word אָדוֹן (adon) when translated to English refers to LORD (small caps) and lord (lowercase), or “master.” Thus, there are
many who may be confused and may not thoroughly comprehend the usage and
importance of this word. In the absence of understanding of people with regards
to this, there are some religious doctrines that have distorted the truth.
Because of this, a lot of people have lost their way from the path towards
living a holy life on earth.
That is why,
with this opportunity, one would see that the verses below would show how the
word אָדוֹן (adon) has arrived at its
important essence in the holy scriptures (Masoteric
Texts) as it is written,
The husband is called as lord
(panginoon)
GEN 18 :
12 Therefore Sarah laughed within herself,
saying, After I am waxed old shall I have pleasure, my lord being old also?
12 At nagtawa si Sara sa kaniyang sarili, na

The angels are called as lord (panginoon)
GEN 19 :
1 And there came two angels to Sodom at even; and Lot sat in the gate of
Sodom: and Lot seeing them rose up to meet them; and he bowed himself with his
face toward the ground;
2 And he said, Behold now, my lords,
turn in, I pray you, into your servant's house, and tarry all night, and wash
your feet, and ye shall rise up early, and go on your ways. And they said, Nay;
but we will abide in the street all night.

(panginoon)
GEN 23 :
6 Hear
us, my lord: thou [art] a mighty prince among us: in the
choice of our sepulchres bury thy dead; none of us shall withhold from thee his
sepulchre, but that thou mayest bury thy dead.
(Dinggin mo kami, panginoon ko: ikaw ay prinsipe ng Dios sa gitna
namin: sa pinakahirang sa aming mga libingan ay ilibing mo ang iyong patay;
wala sa amin na magkakait sa iyo ng kaniyang libingan, upang paglibingan ng

GEN 23 :
11 Nay, my lord,
hear me: the field give I thee, and the cave that [is] therein, I give
it thee; in the presence of the sons of my people give I it thee: bury thy
dead.
(Hindi, panginoon ko, dinggin mo ako: ang parang
ay ibinibigay ko sa iyo, at ang yungib na naroroon ay ibinibigay ko sa iyo; sa
harap ng mga anak ng aking bayan, ay ibinigay ko sa iyo: ilibing mo ang iyong

GEN 23 :
15 My lord, hearken
unto me: the land [is worth] four hundred shekels of silver; what [is] that
betwixt me and thee? bury therefore thy dead.

GEN 24 :
9 And the servant put his hand under the
thigh of Abraham his master, and sware to
him concerning that matter.

hita ni Abraham na kaniyang panginoon, at sumumpa sa kaniya
tungkol sa bagay na ito.)
GEN 40 :
1 And
it came to pass after these things, [that] the butler of the king of Egypt and
[his] baker had offended their lord the king of Egypt.
(At nangyari, na pagkatapos ng mga bagay na ito, na ang katiwala
ng saro ng hari sa Egipto at ang kaniyang magtitinapay ay nangagkasala laban sa
kanilang panginoon na hari sa Egipto.)
GEN 45 :
8 So
now [it was] not you [that] sent me hither, but God: and he hath made me a
father to Pharaoh, and lord of all his house, and a ruler throughout
all the land of Egypt.

8 David
also arose afterward, and went out of the cave, and cried after Saul, saying, My lord the king. And when Saul looked behind him, David stooped
with his face to the earth, and bowed himself.
(Si David naman ay tumindig pagkatapos, at lumabas sa yungib, at
hiniyawan si Saul, na sinasabi, Panginoon ko na hari. At nang lumingon si Saul
ay iniyukod ni David ang kaniyang mukha sa lupa, at nagbigay galang.)
1SA 26 :
17 And
Saul knew David's voice, and said,
[Is] this thy voice, my son David? And David said, [It is] my voice, my lord, O
king.
(At nakilala ni Saul ang tinig ni David at nagsabi, Ito ba ang
tinig mo, anak kong David? At sinabi ni David, Aking tinig nga, panginoon ko, Oh hari.)
1SA 29 :
8 And
David said unto Achish, But what have I done? and what hast thou found in thy
servant so long as I have been with thee unto this day, that I may not go fight
against the enemies of my lord the king?
(At sinabi ni David kay Achis, Nguni't anong aking ginawa? at
anong iyong nasumpungan sa iyong lingkod habang ako'y nasa sa harap mo hanggang
sa araw na ito, upang ako'y huwag yumaon at lumaban sa mga kaaway ng aking panginoon na hari?)
2SA 2 :
7 Therefore
now let your hands be strengthened, and be ye valiant: for your master Saul is dead, and
also the house of Judah have anointed me
king over them.
(Ngayon nga, magsilakas nawa ang inyong mga kamay, at kayo
nawa'y maging matatapang: sapagka't patay na si Saul na inyong panginoon, at pinahiran ng langis
naman ako ng sangbahayan ni Juda upang maging hari sa kanila.)
2SA 3 :
21 And
Abner said unto David, I will arise
and go, and will gather all Israel unto my lord the king, that
they may make a league with thee, and that thou mayest reign over all that
thine heart desireth. And David sent Abner away; and he went in peace.
(At sinabi ni Abner kay David,
Ako'y babangon at yayaon, at aking pipisanin ang buong Israel sa aking panginoon na hari, upang sila'y makipagtipan sa iyo, at upang iyong pagharian ng
buong ninanasa ng iyong kaluluwa. At pinayaon ni David si Abner; at siya'y
yumaong payapa.)
1KI 1 :
11 Wherefore
Nathan spake unto Bathsheba the mother of Solomon, saying, Hast thou not heard
that Adonijah the son of Haggith doth reign, and David our lord knoweth [it] not?)

NUM 11 :

lord Moses, forbid them.
At si Josue na anak ni Nun, na tagapangasiwa ni Moises, na isa
sa kaniyang mga piling lalake, ay sumagot at nagsabi, Panginoon kong Moises, pagbawalan mo sila.
NUM 12 :
11 And Aaron said unto Moses, Alas, my lord, I beseech thee, lay not the sin upon us, wherein
we have done foolishly, and wherein we have sinned.
(At sinabi ni Aaron kay Moises, Oh
panginoon ko, isinasamo ko sa iyo na huwag mong iparatang ang kasalanan sa
amin, sapagka't ginawa namin na may kamangmangan, at sapagka't kami ay
nagkasala.)
Here, it is completely clear that the image of the lord (panginoon), if it would be greatly understood, would be of great
help to others so that they can straighten the wrong teachings that have made
them deviate from the truth. Accordingly, in reference to the original words in
the Masoteric Texts, this has given
light to the comprehensive topic regarding the words, Messiah (Cristo), Panginoon (LORD), at panginoon (lord).
To continue, we have come to know that David have lived in an early era, spanned by thousands of years before Jesus was born. With
regards to this, let us examine a small part of the Book of Psalms (Psa 110:1), which, according to religious doctrines of numerous churches has been known to carry
the prophecy regarding the true image of Jesus of Nazareth.
As it was written, it is said:
PSA 110 :
1 A Psalm of David.1732
The LORD3068 said unto my
lord,113 Sit thou at my
right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool.
(Sinabi ng Panginoon sa aking panginoon,
umupo ka sa aking kanan, hanggang sa aking gawing tungtungan mo ang iyong mga
kaaway.)
In this verse,
the Hebrew word יְהֹוָה (YHVH) has
been translated in English as the
word “LORD” in capital letters. In
its original form, this means “YOHVAH,”
which is, in actuality, the name of the everlasting
God in heaven. It is apparent that one can clearly see the number H3068
beside it - the equivalent of יְהֹוָה in the Strong’s concordance.
Just as the Hebrew title אָדוֹן
(adon) translated in English as “lord” or “master” –
using the small (lowercase) letters; which refers to “panginoon” in Filipino. According to the holy scriptures, this
refers to a PERSON, and has never been known to refer to a certain title (of
reverence or leadership) or to God. This יְהֹוָה may refer to the words, King, prince, prophet, husband, angel, Jewish
priest, or captain of a group.
In Psalm
110:1, it actually shows David saying the words, “The Lord said unto my lord”. Here, it would show that David is the
1st person; the “Lord” is the 2nd person and the “lord” is the 3rd person. The verse
goes on to show that the Lord (in the 2nd person) said, “Sit thou on my right hand, till I make thine
enemies thy footstool?”
From that, who,
then, is the “lord” referred to in
the 3rd person in this portion of the Song
of David?
During that time
of David, it shows that King Saul is the only King of Israel. An uncontestable fact
that cannot be denied by anyone as it was written, as it says...

Throughout David’s
time, as was written, he has never called anyone else as lord aside from King Saul. It is clearly stated that the
“lord”
in the 3rd person in the Book
of Psalms 110:1 is none other than King
Saul. That is why if we are to place the real image and form of the verses,
it would be as what can be read below.
PSA 110 :
1 A Psalm of David.1732 Yohvah3068
said unto my king Saul,113
Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool.
(Sinabi ni Yohvah sa aking haring si Saul, umupo ka sa aking kanan, hanggang
sa aking gawing tungtungan mo ang iyong mga kaaway.)
The Masoteric
Texts (the authoritative Hebrew text
of the Jewish Bible) that includes the Book of Psalms cannot be miscontrued
when it comes to this topic of names and titles that are its most concrete
component. That is why this article can be a substantial reference with regards
to this matter which carries these verses.
In the beginning, there are many people who have not
garnered complete awareness and understanding with this particular aspect of
holiness. That is why some people in the earlier generations – because of their
lack of knowledge in the essence of the bible – have managed to create numerous
religious doctrines that have merely veered away from the truth that is being
strongly emphasized by the Masoteric Texts. At the verse above, everyone
thought that the contents of the Book of
Psalms 110:1 is a prophecy of David
referring to Jesus as God. This is because people have assumed
that the 3rd person in that verse refers to Jesus
Christ.
That is why, in order to make the assumptions of the
translators believable, the title denoting the 3rd person was changed to a
small letter “l” instead of the
capital letter “L”. Why? In this
manner, the 3rd person in that verse (pertaining to God) shows that it is the
same as the 2nd person. As it is written,
MAT 22 :
44
The LORD 2962 said unto my Lord, 2962 Sit thou on my right hand, till I make
thine enemies thy footstool?
(Sinabi ng Panginoon sa aking Panginoon, Maupo ka sa aking kanan, Hanggang sa
ilagay ko ang iyong mga kaaway sa ilalim ng iyong mga paa?)
If you would notice, the number 2962, which refers to the name LORD, is the same
number for the title (Lord). This word means KURIOS in the Greek language,
which is equivalent to the word God.
Thus, this clearly shows that this quotation – where the 2nd and 3rd
persons – refer to the same God, with the same essence or form. If we are to
follow the original text of David (Book of Psalms 110:1) and the contents
written in Mat 22:44, it wouldn’t be
so hard to see that the change has been purposely done to show that the title
in the 3rd person as “lord” has been changed to “Lord.” As it is written (that we need to
thoroughly examine) here:

on my right hand, till I make thine enemies thy footstool?
(Sinabi ng Panginoon sa aking panginoon,
umupo ka sa aking kanan, hanggang sa aking gawing tungtungan mo ang iyong mga

(Sinabi ng Panginoon sa aking Panginoon, Maupo ka sa
aking kanan, Hanggang sa ilagay ko ang iyong mga kaaway sa ilalim ng iyong mga
paa?)
Perhaps, the truth that we have lain bare for this
concept is enough to completely understand how some things have been the reason
for many to continue to be in a misleading
religious doctrine following teachings that have never acknowledged the words of God uttered by those who are truly holy.
In conclusion, as a form of truth that everyone should
strictly abide by is:
1. The title מָשִׁיחַ (mashiyach) has never ever
referred to God. In fact, it pertains
to the people or things that God has
wholly acknowledged to be in the state of holiness. Messiah, Christ,
Christus, Khristo, Cristo and others are the translations of this term in different languages.
2. The name יְהֹוָה (YHVH) YOHVAH merely represents the everlasting
name of the one and only God in
heaven. This has been changed to the term, “LORD” by those who had translated the
original verses into the English language.
3. The
title אָדוֹן (adon) in
the English phraseology solely
stands for “lord” or “master.”
4. Psalms 110:1 has never been used as a prophecy pertaining to Jesus Christ. Instead, it only contains
the words of God that flowed through David, which were spoken to
King Saul of Israel.
5. The contents of Mat 22:44 is a biblical
quotation, which shows a form of deceit when it was compared to the original texts of David. (Psalm 110:1)
